Cricket News: Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Trevor Bayliss is expected to depart his role and join another franchise just a day after player retention for the Indian Premier League 2022 was confirmed. Trevor joined the Orange Army after England’s World Cup victory in 2019.
Bayliss, on the other hand, was unable to repeat the feat with his IPL franchise. In actuality, Sunrisers Hyderabad did not have a particularly successful season in 2021. Bayliss is regarded as one of England’s most successful managers, having led the team to Ashes and World Cup titles.
Trevor was also approached by the Australian board, and it is understood that he is still on the radar of Cricket Australia. The 58-year-old is also thought to be in negotiations with a few other IPL teams. Before accepting an offer from the England and Wales Cricket Board, he had previously guided Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL wins, in 2012 and 2014. (ECB).
The coach is expected to join the Lucknow-based franchise for the upcoming season, according to sources.
“He has gone on,” according to Cricbuzz, “and we’ll reveal the new coach soon.” Trevor Bayliss was a member of the Sunrisers’ management team when David Warner was removed as captain, and he spent some time warming the benches while Kane Williamson took over as captain.
David Warner was not retained by the franchise, as fans and management had predicted. Kane Williamson, as well as uncapped talents Abdul Samad and Umran Malik, were retained by the Hyderabad franchise.
This decision has yet to receive official confirmation from Trevor Bayliss or the Sunrisers Hyderabad management.
