Cricket News: In the most recent update of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Test cricket standings, Ravindra Jadeja maintained his position as the world’s highest-ranked all-rounder. With 385 points, Jadeja leads the standings, while Ravichandran Ashwin of India is second with 341 points.

Jason Holder of the West Indies is third with 336 points, while Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is fourth with 313. With 298 points, England’s new Test captain Ben Stokes rounds out the top five. With Bangladesh hosting Sri Lanka for a two-Test series, only Shakib is currently playing Test cricket among the top five.

In the Test bowler rankings, Ashwin is ranked second with 850 points, while his teammate Jasprit Bumrah is ranked third with 830 points. Pat Cummins, Australia’s Test captain, maintains his lead with 901 points.

With 754 points, India captain Rohit Sharma is the highest-ranked Indian Test batter. Virat Kohli, the former captain, sits in 10th place with 742 points. Marnus Labuschagne of Australia remains the top-ranked Test batter with 892 points, while Steve Smith of Australia is second with 845 points. Kane Williamson of New Zealand rounds out the top three with 844 points.

After strong performances in the drawn first match, Bangladesh’s Liton Das and Sri Lanka’s veteran Angelo Mathews have made significant improvements in the ICC Men’s Test Rankings, while the international body’s newest top-10 list has remained unchanged.

With just Sri Lanka and Bangladesh competing in the WTC, it seemed certain that their players would gain points.

After scoring 88 in Bangladesh’s lone innings, wicketkeeper-batter Liton has moved up three places to 17th, while Player of the Match Mathews’ 199 in the first innings has moved him up five places to 21st among batters in the list led by Australia’s Labuschagne.
