Cricket News: On September 22, SunRisers Hyderabad will face the Delhi Capitals in the second leg of the IPL 2021. The Orange Army had a terrible first phase, losing six of their seven games and sitting at the bottom of the points table as a result. They didn’t seem to be able to find anything that worked for them. Even though David Warner was fired midway through his captaincy, the team’s fortunes did not improve.

The Williamson-led SRH will try to turn things around in the second leg, which will be held in the UAE. Despite the fact that a playoff berth remains a pipe dream, their spinner Rashid Khan says they will take every game as if it were the final and give everything they have in every game. “Yes, we did not have an ideal first half of the competition in India, but looking forward to the second half,” he said when asked how he feels about the second half of this season. We’ve come together as a team and are looking forward to a successful conclusion. Every game should be treated as if it were the final one for us, and we should give everything we have.”

Rashid Khan also discussed his hitting abilities and how he strives to assist his teammates wherever possible. “I’ve been focusing on my hitting for the last year and a half when the team needs an extra 20-25 runs. They are extremely important for the team in both setting the aim and pursuing it. So, I’m simply experimenting with different stuff. It’s just about having that mindset of wanting to finish well wherever I hit the ball,” he explained.

SunRisers’ middle-order difficulties

In the first half, Rashid Khan did not make many mistakes. He took important wickets and, even when he didn’t, he made sure he didn’t let up too many runs. The failure of Hyderabad’s middle-order was a source of concern. Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Priyam Garg, and Abdul Samad all struggled to score runs at vital times, resulting in Hyderbad’s demise. With Bairstow gone, Warner and Williamson will have to lead the team across the finish line once more.
