The Tigers were always going to have a difficult time tracking down the massive target, and Wanindu Hasaranga only added to their suffering.

When being struck for six, the leg-spinner stepped into a bowl the fourth over of the innings and dismissed Karim Janat after the batsman attempted to slog another. He then took two key wickets for his team by clean bowling Johnson Charles on the very next delivery.

In the eighth over, Hasaranga returned to bowl and delivered a masterclass in mystery bowling. Benny Howell, James Faulkner, and Vishnu Sukumaran were among the batters who were sent back to the pavilion without hitting a single run in the over.
