Cricket News: For Indian cricket fans, September 24 isn’t just another day. It is the anniversary of the Indian cricket team’s historic 2007 World Cup victory. Under the inspirational leadership of MS Dhoni, the Men in Blue went on to win the inaugural T20 World Cup without some of their established players, such as Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, or Sachin Tendulkar. The victory signalled the start of a new era in Indian cricket, as well as the emergence of Dhoni, the Captain Cool.

Harbhajan Singh, a senior off-spinner who was part of that World Cup-winning team, reflected on a memorable day on its 14th anniversary today. Bhajji uploaded a photo of the team lifting the trophy from the past. He captioned the photo, “When your FAITH becomes stronger than your FEAR… then your goal can become a reality #champions #T20WorldCup2007 #TeamIndia.”

While the majority of the comments section was filled with congrats and nice remarks, one user was not thrilled and even accused the 41-year-old of editing Dhoni out of the photo. The fan assumed it was MS Dhoni who was behind the trophy emoji, and Bhajji had purposefully left him out of the photograph.

The social media user wrote, “Nice Bhai Nicely Cropped MSD Photo.”

The claim, however, did not sit well with the professional spinner, who chose to return it to the troll. “Now u may lick what u see in the picture I clipped,” he added after posting the original photo sans the modification.

Here’s Harbhajan’s comment:

The Turbanator is now training with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the United Arab Emirates. While he has yet to roll his arms over in the second leg of the IPL 2021, he can be seen donning a mentor’s cap and sharing his vast knowledge of the game with the youngsters on a regular basis. Bhajji has already begun to consider a future outside of sports, having dabbled with action, anchoring, and hosting, among other things. Even as a cricket analyst on various broadcast and news networks, the veteran of over 100 Test matches may be seen.
