Cricket News: In the late hours of Day 4, Jasprit Bumrah delivered a fantastic delivery to break a tense third-wicket stand, dismissing Rassie van der Dussen on 11. The ball sailed straight onto the right-handed hitter, leaving van der Dussen speechless and unable to offer a stroke.

After losing Aiden Markram (1) and Keegan Petersen (17) early in the innings, Van der Dussen and skipper Dean Elgar had put together a solid partnership. Bumrah, on the other hand, shattered the alliance in the final hour of Day 4 when he returned to the spell.

Bumrah pitched the ball far outside the off-stump on a length that was just shy of excellent, but it sailed straight into van der Dussen.

Bumrah completed an excellent day for India by dismissing nightwatchman Keshav Maharaj. As India drew closer to victory in Centurion, he pierced his opponent’s defence with an excellent yorker.

South Africa finished Day 4 on 94/4, with India setting a 305-run goal for the hosts to win.

Earlier in the Centurion Test, India was bowled out for 174 in the second innings, but a commanding 130-run advantage placed the visitors in command.

The ground has become tricky for batsmen and ideal for Indian seamers to take advantage of. There’s some sideways movement, but there’s also a lot of bounce, with some deliveries staying low and others spitting off the surface with a lot of bounce, which isn’t unusual for the ground.

The highest fourth-innings chase at Centurion Park is England’s 251 for eight in 2000, during an unfortunate test in which both teams decided to surrender an innings due to rain in order to force a result.

The cricket community praised Bumrah after he bowled a peach of a delivery to dismiss van der Dussen:
