Craig Dawson has joined West Ham on a season-long loan with an option to purchase from Championship side Watford.
Dawson brings plenty of experience to West Ham, with the 30-year-old having made 29 top-flight appearances as Watford was relegated last season.
West Ham announced the news on Twitter by quoting Dawson’s happy words upon joining.
However, he was not a first-choice target. West Ham was linked initially in the transfer window to James Tarkowski and Fikayo Tomori, but have now borrowed Craig Dawson.
With the window still open for Premier League and EFL clubs to trade, the Hammers have managed to improve their defensive ranks, joining centre-back Dawson from Watford.
