Post match reactions
Bristol City assistant manager: “We are delighted. We won’t get anything unless we work like that in every game, we were relentless.
“We knew it was going to be a real test for us but we needed to stand up to the test. They were coming to our home so we had to make it a hard place to come and I thought we did that.
“We said to the players that they needed to go and work hard but enjoy it. They’re very lucky to be playing for a great club like this so they needed to enjoy it, go out and get the result and then move on.”
Manager Steve Morison: “It was always going to be a tough start to the game, because everyone’s fresh and energetic. We saw that period out; they had that one chance, where Ryan Allsop makes the save. We have the big moment in the game where we have to score and they go down the other end and score.
“They got most of their chances through us committing men forward and hitting us on the counter, which is something we had to deal with. It’s all pretty much irrelevant, because we lost the game.”
