Promoter Eddie Hearn has made it clear that Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury must decide on a venue for their fight in the next weeks. A location and date have yet to be decided on by the duo after they signed a contract for an undisputed world heavyweight title fight.
“Well, I guess it depends where we are. If we’re on the verge and it has to go a few days after that.” Hearn said. “That’s a date set by everybody to push forward with the summer fight. We are in March, we want to get this wrapped up as soon as possible. I think far better to put the pressure on and work to a deadline, and I think it’s a fair deadline.”
A number of options such as Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Qatar, Dubai and the UK have been considered. But a number of these options might be ruled out due to reduced attendance because of the ongoing pandemic.
