Carl Frampton was in peak condition during the weigh-in against Jamel Herring as he targets the biggest win of his career so far in the WBO super-featherweight showdown. He weighed in just inside the 130lbs limit at 129.8 while his opponent Herring weighed in at 129.4 lbs. Frampton earlier in his career held the featherweight as well as the super bantamweight titles but believes winning the belt in his third weight class would be the toughest hurdle.
“I need to prove it to myself but I need to prove it to other people,” said Frampton. “I believe Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis are fantastic coaches and I want to reward them with winning a world title, so I fully intend on doing that with this fight against Jamel Herring. If I win the fight, I think it would go down as my best win.”
