Boxing Tournament: On the undercard of Amir Khan vs Kell Brook, Frazer Clarke will compete for the first time as a professional heavyweight.

On February 19, he will enter the ring for the first time as an exciting newcomer to the heavyweight division.

Clarke, who earned an Olympic bronze medal at super-heavyweight last summer in one of Team GB’s feelgood stories, has now signed professional contracts with Sky Sports and BOXXER.

Clarke has signed with Anthony Joshua’s 258 MGT management company, and Joshua, Clarke’s longtime sparring partner at Team GB, will play a crucial role in coaching him on that road.

“I’m ecstatic to be making my debut on such a historic night in British boxing,” Clarke said.

“Being on their undercard is incredible since both Amir and Kell are legendary.” Burton is my hometown and a city I like, but Manchester holds a particular place in my heart, so it’s extra meaningful to begin my adventure in front of their supporters.

“Training is going well, and I’m fully committed to putting on a wonderful and exciting display for the pros.”

“It was a great moment for everyone at BOXXER and Sky Sports when the Team GB captain opted to sign with us, and it’s right that he will begin his professional path on the same card as his fellow Olympian and Team GB trailblazer Amir Khan,” said Ben Shalom, founder and CEO of BOXXER.

258 MGT’s managing director, Freddie Cunningham, said “Frazer deserves the best possible platform for his debut, which Khan vs Brook provides. As captain of Team GB Boxing and for his amateur exploits, Frazer deserves the best possible platform for his debut. Frazer has a fantastic setup at Loughborough and will be in excellent shape for his professional debut.”

Sky Sports head of boxing development, Adam Smith, said: “When Frazer inked an exclusive partnership with BOXXER to showcase both his abilities and personality on our massive platform, we were all ecstatic.

“On Sky Sports, we’ve developed all of the British heavyweight champions, and we’ll do everything we can to assist Frazer to become the next.

“The Team GB Captain has the expertise, minerals, and celebrity to appeal to a broad audience, and the massive Khan-Brook event in Manchester on February 19 is the ideal venue for the start of his fascinating professional adventure.”
