Boxing News: Jake Paul believes he will face Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and possibly his own brother Logan Paul in the future but has ruled out meeting Tommy Fury.

On Saturday night, the YouTube sensation-turned-boxer returns to the ring in a rematch with Tyron Woodley, who stepped in for the injured and ill Fury.

Before his sixth professional fight, Paul told Showtime: “I will give Canelo my all in this battle. Consider Avni Yildirim, who Canelo defeated earlier this year. ‘The Turkish Warrior’ was his moniker. He was given the opportunity to fight Canelo.

“He took a seat in the corner and announced his resignation. He didn’t even try to punch anyone.

“Why is it that he can get the fight and I can’t?

“I’m taller than he is. I’m more powerful.

“It makes no difference how long you have been doing something. It all comes down to how well you’ve been doing it.”

Canelo Alvarez is a four-weight world champion and the undisputed super-middleweight champion. He is widely regarded as boxing’s best fighter.

A battle with Paul’s brother Logan, who recently went the distance in an exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather, is also a possibility, according to Paul.

“It’s been talked about a lot. He answered, “Who knows if it will happen.”

“It’s in the cards,” says the narrator.

“What’s strange is what we’d actually do in the situation.”

“There is a reason for everything,” Paul remarked of UFC veteran Nate Diaz’s appearance at his public workout on Wednesday night.

But Paul has put an end to any chance of ever fighting with Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion’s younger brother, who pulled out of a bout on Saturday owing to a broken rib and a bad chest illness.

“I don’t think there will ever be a fight between us,” Paul added.

“I’m not going to give him another chance. He’d gotten his chance.

“I’d like to see him fight 20 more times just to collect the same salary he would have gotten if he had fought me.

“Tommy, my apologies. It’s not going to work out.”

Former UFC champion Woodley, who lost a split decision to Paul in their first fight after eight rounds, has agreed to a rematch on short notice.

“Based on my abilities, I don’t expect this to be any more challenging,” Paul added.

“Since then, I’ve sparred 200 rounds and improved significantly.

“Between fights, I have a lot of flexibility.

“Because I wasn’t thrilled with my performance the prior time, I went into camp with a chip on my shoulder.

“In a professional fight, I had never been hit with a 10oz glove. My first three opponents didn’t throw a single punch at me.

“It had been an eye-opening experience. It didn’t bother me that I was buzzing.”

To earn the rematch, Paul compelled Woodley to get a tattoo that reads “I love Jake Paul,” and he has rewarded his opponent with a $500,000 bonus if he wins by knockout.
