Boxing Fight: Terence Crawford’s incredible abilities will be put to the ultimate test when he takes on Shawn Porter on November 20 in Las Vegas | may Josh Taylor join Crawford later?
Terence Crawford will face Shawn Porter in a WBO welterweight title defence on November 20 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Crawford, who is undefeated, will have the chance to prove that he is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world against a former two-time champion.
Crawford’s finest chance to show off his incredible skills against another top contender in the welterweight category is in this bout.
Porter pushed Crawford’s ultimate adversary, Errol Spence Jr, to a split decision in 2019 following a fantastic back-and-forth contest.
Porter has never been stopped, and his only three losses were to Kell Brook, Spence Jr, and Keith Thurman in world title fights.
Yordenis Ugas, who just defeated Manny Pacquiao, and Danny Garcia are among his successes.
Crawford has won 28 of his 37 fights via knockout, including victories over British fighters Kell Brook and Amir Khan.
He is a three-weight world champion who used to be the undisputed super-lightweight champion (which now belongs to Josh Taylor).
What’s next, Taylor vs. Crawford?
In a homecoming to Scotland, Taylor will defend his titles against Jack Catterall on December 18, live on Sky Sports.
“Then, maybe, early next year, we’ll be able to do a fight that will blow the roof off of everything in the UK,” Top Rank promoter Bob Arum stated.
“That would be Taylor vs. Crawford for the welterweight championship.”
“I believe in my own talent,” Taylor said of Crawford. I believe I’ve faced tougher opponents than Crawford, despite the fact that Crawford is an elite level fighter.
“However, he hasn’t faced the best fighters in his division. He’s faced some tough opponents, but I believe I competed at a higher level. On my journey up, I faced tougher opponents.”
