Boxing Fight: “Mike Tyson is too terrified, according to a number of reputable sources. Evander Holyfield, he believes, would knock him out “According to Ryan Kavanaugh of Triller, who promised a “huge payday” to make the bout,

According to Triller’s Ryan Kavanaugh, Mike Tyson is afraid of getting knocked out by his everlasting nemesis Evander Holyfield and will not accept another bout against him.

For the first time in 15 years, Tyson returned to the ring last year, aged 54, to meet fellow veteran Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout.

Holyfield, 58, will make his comeback on Saturday night, replacing Oscar De La Hoya, 48, in a battle against UFC legend Vitor Belfort, on short notice.

“We know he’s trying to stage a fight with Lennox Lewis,” Kavanaugh told Sky Sports exclusively.

In a world heavyweight championship battle in 2002, Lewis overcame Tyson.

“We’ve been told that he’s terrified to fight Evander,” Kavanaugh said of Tyson.

“There has been a lot of back-and-forths, and Mike has a big payout waiting for him if he fights on Thanksgiving.” One of the biggest paydays he’s ever had!

“However, we can’t seem to get it moving.”

“Now I’ve heard from a number of trustworthy sources that Mike is too afraid to go. Evander, he believes, would knock him out.”

When they first fought in 1996, Holyfield stopped Tyson; their rematch a year later will go down in boxing history because Tyson was disqualified for biting off a portion of his opponent’s ear.

Holyfield, who was one of only two guys to win world belts at cruiserweight and heavyweight, hasn’t fought in a decade.

“We’ve made an offer to Mike,” Kavanaugh said of a rematch with Holyfield.

Holyfield told Sky Sports last year that he had not given up on his fight with Tyson.

“I’m not sure, you’d have to ask him!” he replied.

“I’d never ask somebody to do something they don’t want to do. But it’s for a good cause. It’s a win-win-win situation if we can come up with something that works for everyone.”

On the undercard to Holyfield’s return, David Haye, 40, will end his retirement to battle Joe Fournier.

Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz, both UFC luminaries, will also face off in the ring.
