Boxing Fight: On Saturday in Florida, Frank Sanchez strolled through Christian Hammer to keep his perfect record intact.

Hammer was a last-minute replacement opponent who clung on to hear the final bell after being knocked down in the last seconds of the bout.

Hammer posed no threat to Sanchez, a Cuban heavyweight who has the potential to challenge for world titles in the future.

He easily won a unanimous decision after putting on a show throughout the course of ten rounds.

His stablemate and pound-for-pound king, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, stood ringside, while Eddy Reynoso, their celebrated trainer, was in Sanchez’s corner.

After forcing Hammer, a recent opponent of Hughie Fury, to retire inside a defensive shell, Sanchez gradually increased his punch volume throughout the fight.

With only 15 seconds remaining, Sanchez’s left hand sent Hammer to the ground – it was the fight’s finest punch.

Sanchez has just come off his most spectacular victory to date, a triumph over Efe Ajagba in a fight of unbeaten prospects.

Sanchez was previously ranked No. 5 by the WBC and WBO, and this victory moves him closer to a world title shot.
