Boxing Fight: “I adore great fighters and tremendous fights,” Donald Trump stated, referring to David Haye’s, 40, and Evander Holyfield’s, 58, comebacks. Haye returns from retirement to face Joe Fournier, while Holyfield faces Vitor Belfort, a former UFC fighter.
On Saturday night, Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr., will commentate on the boxing rematch between David Haye and Evander Holyfield.
As for Haye, 40, and Holyfield, 58, return to the ring for separate battles in Florida, the former US president will provide commentary.
Trump, who worked on the marketing of multiple Mike Tyson fights in the late 1980s and early 1990s, remarked, “I adore great boxers and fantastic fights.”
Haye is coming out of retirement to fight undefeated light-heavyweight Joe Fournier in a bout agreed with while on vacation in Mykonos.
Holyfield will battle UFC legend Vitor Belfort in a last-minute replacement for Oscar De La Hoya.
Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz, both UFC legends, will fight inside the boxing ring, with the Trumps providing commentary.
Haye is in a position to face an enigma legend
“It’s not a return,” the former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion told Sky Sports regarding his battle with Fournier on Saturday.
However, Triller promoter Ryan Kavanaugh told Sky Sports that talks to pair Haye with a celebrated former icon had already begun.
Kavanaugh teased, “I couldn’t tell you who it is.”
Is it a fighter from the United Kingdom or the United States?
“Both are ready to go.”
Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, or Lennox Lewis: who would you pick?
Is it a former Ukrainian foe?
Is it a boxing legend or someone from the entertainment industry?
“The pinnacle of the pinnacle.”
So you’re a former world heavyweight champion, right?
“If that’s what you consider the pinnacle of achievement? You wouldn’t be far off the mark.”
