Boxing Match: Tyson Fury plans to face Derek Chisora in a return match

Boxing Match: Tyson Fury has declared his intention to make a comeback from retirement and is targeting a third fight with Derek Chisora.

Fury announced his retirement from the sport in April, following his victory against Dillian Whyte to retain his WBC title at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The 33-year-old, though, appears to have already had a change of heart and made a social media video announcing his intended comeback.

“I’ve decided to come back to boxing because I can be the first heavyweight champion in history to have two trilogies, one with Deontay Wilder, a second one with Derek Chisora.

“I always said I would fight Derek Chisora at the end of my career.”

Prior to overcoming Wladimir Klitschko in his first world title match in 2015, Fury twice defeated Chisora in the early stages of his career. After their first title match resulted in a split decision draw, he also defeated Wilder twice.

A video of the unbeaten Fury begging Chisora to sign a contract and accusing him of fleeing the bout was also released on Instagram.

Chisora, 38, responded with a video of his own, requesting Fury to “give me the documentation.”

A victory over Chisora would immediately fuel rumours of a potential unification fight between Fury and Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk, the current WBA, IBF, and WBO champion.

In the same social media post, Fury said that former English and Commonwealth featherweight champion Isaac Lowe, who has previously trained his uncle Peter Fury, Ben Davison, and most recently SugarHill Steward, will be training him.

“Why I’ve chosen Isaac Lowe as my trainer, because when I was with Peter, Isaac was there,” Fury said. “When I was with Ben, Isaac has always been there and when I was with SugarHill, Isaac has always been there.

“He’s always given me information and he knows me better than anybody on the planet, and we’re a great team. We’ve always been together and we’re going to finish this out together.

“We’ve always worked very well together and here we are, about to take on a massive, massive event.”
