Boxing Fight: The 10-round, 140-pound fight between Richard Commey and Jose Pedraza in Oklahoma results in a draw despite both fighters giving it their all. Jared Anderson maintains his perfect record by crushing Miljan Rovcanin.
The 10-round fight at 140 pounds ended in a split draw between Jose Pedraza and Richard Commey on Saturday night in Oklahoma.
The first card was won by Pedraza (29-4-1, 14 KO), the second by Commey (30-4-1, 27 KO), but the third judge gave the fight a 95-95 decision.
Before Pedraza got involved in the fight, Commey, 35, won the opening exchanges.
After 10 rounds of boxing, Commey went on the defensive after suffering a serious cut over his left eye in the sixth round, but the judges were unable to distinguish between the boxers.
“I was a little bit disappointed because I thought I won this fight,” said Commey. “This is boxing. I’m a warrior and where I’m from, we fight.”
“Realistically, we don’t know how far we are from a [Filip Hrgovic] fight,” said Anderson.
