The Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks 105-108

RJ Barrett hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to cap a historic comeback by the host New York Knicks, who came back from a 25-point deficit to beat the Boston Celtics 108-105.

The Knicks’ best comeback since overcoming a 26-point hole to upset the Milwaukee Bucks on March 14, 2004, was fueled by Evan Fournier.

He finished with a career-high 41 points, including a 21-footer with 4:04 left to tie the game at 96-96 and a three-pointer with 2:07 left to give New York its first lead, 99-98.

The Knicks broke a tie with the Celtics for 10th place in the Eastern Conference – and the final play-in berth – with Julius Randle’s 22 points and Immanuel Quickley’s 16 points off the bench. Barrett had 13 points after his game-winning shot.

For the second night in a row, Jayson Tatum scored 13 of the Celtics’ final 15 points and finished with 36 points for the visitors, who lost a heartbreaker. In a 99-97 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, Jaylen Brown missed a layup at the buzzer.

Phoenix Suns 89-106 Los Angeles Clippers

Cameron Johnson had a career-high 24 points and seven rebounds, while Jalen Smith had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Phoenix Suns to a win over the Los Angeles Clippers and become the first NBA team to reach 30 wins this season.

Chris Paul had 14 points, a career-high 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in his first triple-double of the season for the Suns, who are off to their second-best start in franchise history with a 30-8 record (they were 31-7 in 2004-05).

96-101 in favour of the Golden State Warriors. Pelicans of New Orleans

The host New Orleans Pelicans upset the Golden State Warriors with a game-high 32 points from Brandon Ingram.

The Pelicans broke a three-game losing streak in which they had allowed an average of 124.7 points, thanks to 14 points from Josh Hart, 13 points from Herb Jones, and 10 points from Gary Clark off the bench.

Memphis Grizzlies 88-118 Detroit Pistons

The Memphis Grizzlies extended their winning streak to seven games with a win over the Detroit Pistons, who have now lost 20 of their previous 23 games. Ja Morant had 22 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, and the Grizzlies extended their winning streak to seven games.

Dillon Brooks led the Grizzlies with 18 points, five assists, and three steals. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke each had 11 points, while Tyus Jones and Zaire Williams both had 14 points.

Off the bench, Saben Lee led the Pistons with 14 points. Cade Cunningham scored 12 points on 5-of-19 shooting from the field.
