New Orleans Pelicans 112 – 110 Charlotte Hornets
Eric Bledsoe scored 24 points for the New Orleans Pelicans as they beat the Charlotte Hornets 112-110. The win helped keep their slim hopes of making the playoffs alive. A victory would have been enough for the Hornets to secure a spot in the play-in tournament in the Eastern Conference.
New Orleans Pelicans is currently in 11th place in the Western Conference thanks to Eric Bledsoe. They are a game and a half behind the San Antonio Spurs who hold the last of the qualifying spots. Jaxson Hayes scored 18 points for the New Orleans while James Johnson scored 17 points. Alexander-Walker and Naji Marshall both got 13 points while Lonzo Ball finished the game with 12. The Pelican was without their star man Zion Williamson who has averaged 27 points this season.
Rozier scored a game-high 43 points in a losing cause for the Hornets. LaMelo Ball, Coy Zeller, and PJ Washington scored 22 points, 17 points, and 14 points respectively. The latter also managed to pick up 12 rebounds.
Chicago Bulls 108 – 96 Detroit Pistons
Nikola Vucevic recorded yet another double of 29 points and 16 rebounds while Zach Lavine scored a game-high 30 points as the Chicago Bulls led through the entire game. A strong defensive display from the Bulls helped keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The victory moved them two and a half games behind Indiana. Chicago has four games left to go in the regular season.
Coby White scored 21 points including 5 of 11 from beyond the arc while Lauri Markkanen came off the bench to record three steals and seven rebounds. Killian Hayes scored a career-high 21 points to go with seven rebounds and eight assists. Although he posted some incredible numbers he committed seven of the 13 turnovers for the Pistons. His fellow rookies Saddiq Bey (20 points) and Isaiah Stewart (19 points) shot 5-of-10 and 3-of-7 from beyond the 3-point arc.
