Milwaukee Bucks 142 – 133 Indiana Pacers
Giannis Antetokounmpo put up a spectacular performance scoring 40 points while securing 15 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Indiana Pacers 142-133. The Bucks are now just one behind the Brooklyn Nets who occupy the second spot in the Eastern Conference.
On the other hand, the Pacers are tied in eighth place with the Charlotte Hornets. Their lead over the Washington Wizards is now just one game with two to play. This was also the Bucks’ first season sweep over the Pacers since 2010. Khris Middleton helped Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring 22 points for the Milwaukee Bucks while Brook Lopez scored 21 points while securing eight rebounds.
San Antonio Spurs 98 – 102 New York Knicks
Alec Burks scored a season-high 30 points to help the New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 102-98. Burke played just his third time in 14 games after he contracted the coronavirus as well as sustained a knee injury. He shot 11 of 20 from the field while securing 10 rebounds and shooting five from beyond the arc. The New York Knicks were down by as many as 17 points at one stage.
Julius Randle scored 25 points to go with his nine rebounds and nine assists to miss out narrowly on a triple-double. He was presented with the Eastern Conference Player of the Month award for his displays the whole of April. RJ Barett also scored 27 points for the Knicks who won for the 14th time in the last 18 games.
The Knicks have strengthened their hold of sixth place in the Eastern Conference. They are tied with the Miami Heat but do not hold the tiebreaker. The Knicks are also half a game behind the Atlanta Hawks. DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points with eight rebounds and four assists as the Spurs (33-37) lost for the eighth time in 10 games. The Spurs, however, clinched a Play-In berth when the Sacramento Kings lost to the Memphis Grizzlies.
