Barcelona has reportedly set its sights on Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt and the Inter Milan center-back Milan Skriniar as their new defensive options for the upcoming season.
Quique Setien is apparently desperate to strengthen his squad’s defence. As such, Skriniar is a promising option for the manager.
Barcelona have also been long-term admirers of De Ligt, with the La Liga outfit showing interest in the 20-year-old before moving to the Old Lady.
However, both defenders from the Premier League side of Manchester United also attracted interest.
Barca would be willing to swap both Samuel Umtiti and Nelson Semedo into deals, with the coronavirus pandemic affecting the Spanish champions financially, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan giants also have an eye on fellow Juventus players Daniele Rugani and Mattia de Sciglio, identifying various Series A targets for the next campaign.
