Young Atalanta midfielder Andrea Rinaldi passed away today after he was rushed to a hospital in Varese on Friday and placed in intensive care.
After a few days of fighting for his life, he unfortunately succumbed. He was in a very serious condition due to a brain aneurysm.
The media had previously reported that he had passed away, but this was soon denied. Unfortunately, this time the news is not fake.
Rinaldi was due to turn 20 next month. He went through the youth school of Atalanta and was under contract at his home club, and this season he played on loan at Legnan, one of the best Serie D teams.
The club also said goodbye to the young player on its website.
