Zlatan on-par with Messi and Ronaldo, says Mancini

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are generally regarded as the two best players of their generation, with some citing them to be two of the greatest players of all time. According to former Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the third.

Messi and Ronaldo have won 11 of the last 12 Ballons d’Or between them and scored 1,422 senior goals in total.

Mancini finds Zlatan Ibrahimovic an equally skilled player, often overlooked. “Zlatan will be remembered as one of the greatest forwards of all time,” Mancini told Sport Mediaset. “I put him on the same level as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He won the league title wherever he went, scoring a ton of goals. He’s done well at Milan too, this season, but I don’t know what his plans are for the future.”

Ibrahimovic has scored 540 goals in his own distinguished career. He now plays for AC Milan, and has won 33 different trophies throughout his career, including 13 league titles throughout four different countries.
