Zidane May Be Offered 300 Million Pounds to Become the New Newcastle United Manager

Zinedine Zidane, boss at Real Madrid, is said to be in contention for the Newcastle United job after the takeover of the Premier League club has been completed.

Newcastle is waiting for the green light from the league officials for a Saudi-led consortium to finalize a purchase of £300 m, which is expected to be completed in the next few weeks, according to Shields Gazette.

The new owners are said to be keen to replace current boss Steve Bruce with their own man in preparation for the 2020-21 campaign.

Zidane has thus been included on the ‘next manager’ list of leading bookmakers, along with Flamengo boss Jorge Jesus and Toon favourite Kevin Keegan.

Mauricio Pochettino was thought to be the frontrunner to take charge of St James’ Park, but now Madrid’s manager Zidane has also apparently entered the race.

In his first spell, the Frenchman (Zidane) won 10 major honours as boss of Madrid and returned for a second time in March 2019.
