The English Premier League confirms another four players, and members of staff from three clubs tested positive for COVID-19.
“Players or Club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate for a period of seven days,” read a statement say Football Italia. The mandatory quarantine is 14 days for Italian players or Club employees who test positive.
In Round 1 with 748 tests, there were six positive cases from three clubs. In the second round, there were two positive ones from two clubs amongst 996 tests taken.
In the third round, conducted on May 25 and 26, swabs were given to 1,008 individuals. Four positive tests were identified.
There are now 12 positive cases of coronavirus in the Premier League, following three test rounds. The testing will continue:
“For the fourth round of testing, the number of tests available to each club will be increased from 50 to 60.”
