McKennie Argues That the USMNT Represents the Whole Community

U.S. Men’s national team player Weston McKennie claimed that the team performing for the new community disputes suggestions that the squad needs an identity.

Per him, the youthful core of the team has built a lot of teamwork in the time they were together.

“I don’t agree when they say it’s a lack of identity. Our team is so tight together, so bonded together and knowing each other so well, it’s something that I haven’t felt in a long time,” McKennie told ESPN.

The Schalke star says he feels that the USMNT is a squad that has established its reputation over the timeframe after joining the group:

“I think of the whole community anytime I think about the national team – because we know what we want to achieve, we know the kind of players we have, so everybody knows what they have to give, what we should do, and everyone knows our ability.”
