Mbappe Might Be the Ballon d’Or Winner in 2025, Says Herrera

Kylian Mbappe is so quick that in a match with Usain Bolt, he makes his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates “feel like kids”, says Ander Herrera.

Herrera sees the youngster as occupying the skill category, with the Spanish midfielder conceding the club peers may seem stupid in training sessions.

He tells ESPN: “Sometimes in training, it’s like playing with kids. He leaves you behind him in the way he runs and moves.

“It feels like we’re children, twelve years old, and he’s Usain Bolt. So when he’s in front of the goalkeeper, he’s got the power to pause to get frozen to score a ton of goals. That’s not easy.”

Speed has indeed been the most destructive arsenal in a creative Mbappe’s armoury.

A keen eye for the goal is another key talent propping him up for success. After all, it has helped him to score 90 times in just over 120 outings for PSG and Monaco,.

“He’s got the balance of speed, intensity and composure to score goals. He might be the Ballon d’Or winner in 2025.”

Even before the Ballon d’Or, Mbappe has ambitions to be regarded as the world’s best player.
