Lucas Torreira’s agent reported that the Arsenal player ‘would love’ to return to Italy after two years.
Pablo Bentancur, his agent, told Tuttomercatoweb, “I still have to talk to Arsenal. The player would love to return to Italy, although it must be acknowledged that Arsenal have treated him very well.”
Torreira had played for Pescara and Sampdoria before transferring to Arsenal in the summer of 2018, and the Uruguayan had made no secret of his desire for life on the peninsula. “Lucas had some differences with his coach and was a bit annoyed about it, but then he bounced back,” the agent said.
Milan and Napoli have both been linked to getting the 24-year-old back to Serie A in recent months. Even his agent is hopeful of a transfer away from Arsenal:
“The injury came after that, but luckily it’s not as serious as we feared it would be. Now he’s completely recovered and I think he’ll be a wanted man in the transfer market.”
