Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp thinks it wasn’t a good day for football to see Manchester City’s Champions League suspension lifted on Monday (via Yahoo Sports).
“FFP is a good idea. It is there for protecting teams and the competition so that nobody overspends and have to make sure the money they want to spend is based on the right sources,” he said.
Jurgen Klopp felt the verdict of Manchester City was not one to be welcomed at the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He opined that Financial Fair Play rule-breaking should have been treated more seriously.
“I don’t think it was a good day for football yesterday, to be honest,” he told reporters ahead of his side’s match against Arsenal on Wednesday.
