A former official in Barcelona warned Juventus that Arthur Melo is not nice enough.
“He [Arthur] isn’t good enough to establish himself in Barca’s team,” Josep Maria Minguella, professional transfer consultant, told Tuttosport.
He went on: “[Coach Quique] Setien only played him four times and gave the club permission to sell him.
“This should make him understand that no-one at the club considers him irreplaceable.
“If he stays, he’ll be one of many. If he leaves, no tears will be shed.”
Then Minguella was asked about Pjanic, whom the Bianconeri wished to sacrifice for the Brazilian. He claimed Miralem Pjanic has ‘one fault only’:
“Pjanic’s an excellent player with only one flaw: age. Barcelona already have six players over 30 and they can’t add another because competitions are long and tiring.
“Therefore, the physical factor becomes increasingly important.”
Previously, Minguella served as Barca’s transfer advisor and, as an agent, helped them pull off deals for Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi alike.
