Juventus’ chief football officer Fabio Paratici has confirmed that the Serie A champions are in open dialog with Barcelona. “We communicate with them, like with other top clubs.” the CFO told Sky Sport Italia.
Goal’s revelation that the Turin side was interested in a swap deal involving midfielders Arthur and Miralem Pjanic were apparently accurate. Speaking on Sunday, Paratici confirmed that negotiations are still underway between Juve and Barca, but didn’t name specific players as the Bianconeri ready for a “unique” summer transfer window.
Despite talks of a transfer, Arthur himself would prefer to remain in Catalunya but Barca is open to selling the great majority of their squad. Instead, they want to purchase Inter forward Lautaro Martinez and get PSG player Neymar back to the club.
“This is going to be a weird season. We need suggestions, something like swap contracts and other different things for the forthcoming summer transfer window,” Paraciti said.
