Juventus Duo Merih Demiral and Douglas Costa Pursued by Manchester United

Merih Demiral and Douglas Costa of Juventus have officially emerged as transfer targets for Manchester United.

United has asked Juventus if they are willing to sell Demiral and Costa, according to Tuttosport.

With the Italian giants pretending to be keen to negotiate a meeting with Paul Pogba, over the next season, a number of players are expected to be able to leave Turin.

The latest names to be added to this long list of leaving players are those of the Juventus duo.

Center-back Demiral, previously Leicester City’s target, made just seven appearances this season before sustaining a serious knee injury in January.

Meanwhile, since the Italian giants paid £35.2 m for his signature in 2018, Costa, who turns 30 in September, has also failed to impress.

The report adds that United doesn’t want to include the Brazilian winger in any contract that includes Pogba.

As such, the two players may form a whole separate negotiation, with Manchester City acquiring them for this season.
