Gunners Give Barcelona till June 15 to Formally Bid for Aubameyang

According to Football Espana, Arsenal reportedly set a deadline of June 15 for Barcelona make a formal bid for top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Daily Mirror reports claim the Gunners want to resolve the future of the Gabonese international, and avoid clouding their pre-season with transfer speculation.

Aubameyang turns 31 in June and might look for an alternative deal to be offered. As he enters the final 12 months of his contract this summer, the Catalan side was heavily linked to a move for the Gunners skipper.

However, with Mikel Arteta determined to keep his star man up ahead of the 2020-21 season at the Emirates Stadium, a fee of €50 m was quoted in Barcelona.

Real Madrid is also monitoring the situation of the former Borussia Dortmund man in North London, but it is rumored that Los Blancos are unwilling to pay the asking price of Arsenal. Barcelona, too, is uncertain about such a high fee for the player.
