Barcelona and Bayern Munich are involved in signing this summer’s Ajax full-back Sergino Dest.
The 19-year-old spent a season at breakout with the Dutch giants graduating from the youth ranks of the team.
His club and country successes have captured the attention of competing teams, with the European heavyweights Barca and Bayern seemingly at the front of the list.
“Barcelona interest is not yet concrete,” Dest’s agent and lawyer Joes Blakborn Blakborn told Voetbal International. “They did not formally communicate to me or Ajax. However, information has been given in the past. Sergino is one of the full-backs they observe in Europe.”
Meanwhile, “Bayern Munich also wishes to take Sergino from Ajax, but both sides are still very far away at the moment. There’s nothing we can talk about right now.”
However, Blakborn is eager to clarify that no formal offers have yet been made.
He made 35 appearances at all competitions for Erik Ten Hag’s senior side before last month’s Eredivisie season was curtailed due to the coronavirus crisis.
