According to news, Bayern Munich is willing to throw Lucas Hernandez in an effort to tie up a £100 million contract for Leroy Sane with Manchester City.
The Bavarians are giving Hernandez, 24, as a sweetener according to SportWitness.
For about a year the Germans were struggling to take ex-Schalke attacker Sane. In fact, last season, Munich came close to a settlement. But the Germany international received a long-term injury in the last Community Shield.
However, Sane has still made it known that he needs to move back to Germany.
Munich is expected to close the agreement in July. But, having just a year remaining on Sane’s contract, he is threatened by city bosses to play out this season and then move to Munich on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, about a year ago, Hernandez left Atletico Madrid to join Bayern for £72m. The Frenchman can play at left-back or centre-half and this will be important to City manager Pep Guardiola, who wants protection in any of those places.
