When the trade market re-openes, Bayern Munich chases a top European player and a global champion. The board is apparently also working hard to recruit coach Hansi Flick.
According to sports director Hasan Salihamidžić, a team that will be ready to compete next season for the Champions League: “The Champions League I and all of us here aspire to compete – without being economically irrational.”
There have already been on talks by the club about a transfer for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner. Moreover, Manchester City winger Leroy Sané is still believed to be on the wish list for Bayern.
“We want to reinforce ourselves with a top talent from Europe and also introduce an foreign star to Munich, that increases the image of our squad and makes the team show good and exciting football to our spectators,” Salihamidžić told Welt.
The Bavarian giants have progressively won the last seven Bundesliga titles but their last Champions League success came in 2013.
