Barcelona Needs to Resolve Issues with Its Loanees by June 30

League matches are now expected to continue until 30 June, when all loan deals come to an end, and there is absolute doubt regarding how the contractual problems that will arise will be handled say Marca.

Barcelona, for one, is facing problems, as some players currently out on loan must try to resolve their future.

Barcelona currently has four first-team players: Philippe Coutinho, Carles Alena, Rafinha Alcantara and Jean-Clair Todibo loaned out.

The more pressing issue, however, is the question as to who will be responsible for the extra time they spend on loan paying the players.

For example, Todibo, who is on loan with Schalke in Germany, is a player which the Catalans desperately seek to sell on. When they sell him before June 30, they’ll have to be able to discuss something with his new club that fits his loan transfer when they try to.

Coutinho is also unlikely to leave Bayern Munich until the end of August, meaning that somebody will have to cough up the approximately € 5 million that two months of his total salary.

It looks like the two players, along with all other loanees, will stay in their temporary clubs until the end of their respective seasons. They will still have to be paid, though.
