Arteta Believes Arsenal Is Still a Dream Destination for Players despite Recent Shortcomings

According to head coach Mikel Arteta, future candidates will be keen to join Arsenal for a variety of different factors.

Two recent Arsenal results have clearly shown the improvement made under the Spaniard who thinks that the club stands on and off the field would make them an enticing choice for any player (via The Guardian).

Firstly, they saw midweek victory over the champions of the Premier League, Liverpool.

Then, Arsenal also secured an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City in the semi-final of the FA Cup on Saturday.

This has raised the probability of them winning not only a FA Cup trophy but also of a Europa League spot.

Despite undergoing a 2019-20 season see-saw with a change of head coach following the exit of Unai Emery in November, the Gunners have thus shown positive signs under Arteta in recent weeks.

Mikel Arteta believes that any prospective new signing would not need a lot of persuasion in joining Arsenal, a club with a “silverware battle responsibility”:

“I’ve said it before that I do not think we should bring in players who need a lot of convincing. This club has enough to be attracted to it.

“The feeling I get when I talk to a lot of people is that the players still want to come to the club, because of the history, the way we do things, our values, the fans that we have and our stadium. They are really attractive things.”
