Amazon confirmed it will be possible to watch four of the Premier League football matches on Amazon Prime and on its live video streaming platform, Twitch.
Also, because of the coronavirus pandemic, the stadiums will be completely empty. But Amazon’s “Stadium Atmosphere” feature would allow customers the opportunity to hear a crowd’s noise alongside the match commentary.
As for streaming matches for home audiences, the tech giant has the broadcast rights to four Premier League matches.
Free games for Amazon include Crystal Palace vs Burnley (June 29), Everton vs Southampton (July 6), and Watford vs Newcastle (July 11). It is yet to confirm its fourth fixture.
Gabby Logan, Roberto Martinez and Lee Dixon will introduce the games while Clive Tyldesley, Peter Drury and Ally McCoist will comment.
Amazon said that it won’t be necessary to have an Amazon Prime membership to watch the games.
